SUPERDAISY

an empowering new children’s book

published by HarperCollins Children’s Books

in support of the Little Princess Trust

Inspired by a true story, SuperDaisy tells the tale of a little girl undergoing treatment for cancer.

SuperDaisy is an upbeat and colourful story designed to empower children and support conversations around challenging themes.

With all profit from the publication kindly donated to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs for children suffering hairless and one of the UK’s leading fundraisers for childhood cancer research, everyone who buys this book joins with SuperDaisy and all the little superheroes in fighting the injustice of childhood cancer.

Tragically, more than 1800 children are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. A childhood cancer diagnosis impacts whole schools and communities. SuperDaisy is the first book of its kind. It aims to provide a safe and accessible resource to support conversations with children and to leave them feeling empowered to help.

As a former teacher, Rebecca Smith has plenty of classroom experience. In developing this schools support pack Rebecca aims to support teachers and carers in delivering SuperDaisy in the best possible way, providing children with opportunity for discussion and reflection on the themes she explores in SuperDaisy.
